Facilities & Accessibility

Our Lady of Lourdes aims to be accessible to all.  Please see below for details of the facilities available in each building.

The Church

• Step-free entrance.
• A toilet is available via the door to the sacristy, located on the left-hand side of the altar.
• Disabled toilet facilities are located in the Undercroft, which can be access via the lift in the church entrance area.
• Screens are installed in the side aisles giving those seated at the side a clear view of the altar.
• Quiet room (Cry Chapel) available during Mass. You will find the door on the right of the church entrance area next to the lift.
• A holy water refill jar is located next to the Repository.

The Respository (SHop)

The Repository holds a range of cards and gifts suitable for Baptism, such as bibles, picture frames, crosses and rosaries. Gifts and cards are also available for First Communion, Confirmation, Weddings, Mass cards etc.

The Repository is located at the back of the church (inside) and is open after each Weekend Mass, why not come and have a look!

Lost Property

If you have left something behind at church it is most likely to have been put into the Lost Property Box, which you can find at the back of the church near the Repository.

The Undercroft

The undercroft, located below the church, is used for church meetings and events only and is not available for private hire.

• Access via the steps from the church forecourt
• Lift access is available from inside the church entrance
• Toilets with disabled access
• Small kitchen area
• Projector, screen and audio system
• Wi-Fi

Lourdes Hall

Our parish hall, Lourdes Hall is a 10-minute walk from the church on Southdown Road, next to St Dominic School.  Lourdes Hall is available for private hire and you can find full details of the facilities, a map, and how to book here.
